Our Vision

The school prides itself on promoting a sense of community, where each individual feels happy, safe and cared for.

A holistic approach to education in its widest sense is at the forefront of our practice. Children trust their teachers and, in turn, their teachers encourage them to become enthusiastic and independent. Our ultimate goal is to empower children to become outstanding citizens who value and pay back into both their local and the wider community.

Children are  determined and resilient learners whose curiosity and passion drive their enjoyment and their ability to lead their own learning. Attainment and progress are excellent and children take pride in their work.

The staff and governors at Cockburn Haigh Road Academy are committed to delivering a rich and broad curriculum. All children and adults are loved and valued regardless of need, disability, culture and gender.

Parents are involved in their children's education. Supporting their academic and pastoral development progress is a priority to them and the school offers a multitude of opportunities for them to participate in their child’s education.
