We are excited to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.
This year, children are invited to come to school dressed as anything that makes them happy. This could be a favourite book character, a superhero, an animal, or anything else they love. We will be holding a Best Costume Contest during the day, with small prizes awarded in each year group.
Throughout the day, children will take part in a range of fun reading activities, including using our iPads to complete special World Book Day tasks on PurpleMash.
To help build excitement, we are also launching our Extreme Reading Photo Competition. We would love children to send in a photo of themselves reading in the most unusual (but safe!) place they can think of. Please upload photos to Tapestry or send them to the school office at: admin@cockburnhaighroad.org Winners will be announced on World Book Day.
