Over the next few weeks, we will be enjoying our transition activities across school. As well as enjoying stories with their new teacher and spending lunchtime playtime together in the Key Stage One playground, the children will have a full transition morning on Wednesday 8th July.
To maximise learning in the core areas of Reading, Writing and Maths, the Key Stage One children will be taught in two separate classes. In the afternoon they will come together to enjoy the benefits of mixed aged teaching such as enhanced social skills, stronger communication skills and mentorship in subjects such as Music, PE and Art.
To provide further information about the Key Stage One experience, we are inviting you at a welcome meeting on Thursday 9th July at 3:30pm. This will provide you with an opportunity to find out more about the curriculum, meet the staff and explore the classroom areas.
